How to clean urine stains
Rule number 1. Act as soon as you can! The sooner you act the less likely that you will need to use one of our proven urine remover products. Blot the urine with a clean dry cloth untill the spot feels dry. Rule Number 2. Dilute, dilute, dilute. Using clean, COLD water to rinse the spot again. Cold water is magic for carpets and rugby players alike.(using hot water will make the problem worse ) Blot it again until relatively dry. If your inclined to over do it with the water - thats not a problem as long as you get the water out. For a quick fix use an OLD towel and jump on it. Rule Number 3. Repeat rule number 2.

Home Remedies
You can also try to remove cat urine odors using common household ingredients.
NEVER use ammonia based detergents as all urine is also ammonia based, and using this will only attract rather than repel an animal from using the same spot again. White Vinegar & Water: First create a strong solution using 3:1 vinegar and water. Apply the solution to affected area and place a heavy object onto it to press it. Don't rub! Wait for area to dry. When dry, repeat the process using a weaker 1:3 solution. Baking soda: Dampen the affected area and sprinkle baking soda over it. Allow area to dry then brush or vacuum away the baking soda Peroxide: Use a detergent containing peroxide and spray onto area affected by urine odor. A useful hint is to mix some Listerine in solution first, because this helps masking the urine odor. Wait 5 minutes for chemicals to be absorbed, then blot it away. Repeat process.
Prevention is better than Cure!
Pets prefers their own odour. For this reason they will often "retire" again and again to their certain spot. If this is happening then cover this area with tin foil for a while. You can also use this knowledge to your advantage if toileting your pet by retaining some of the smell for the dirt box or toilet area. Mothballs or a Citronella smell applied to those areas also help to repell cats from going there again.
Constant urinating
Puppies may urinate as a sign of submission. Dont mistake this for a sign of lapsed house training. Submissive urination is a natural way for a low ranking dog to appease a higher ranking individual. If your puppy pees when whenit sees you, ignore it and walk away, either to a designated toilet area. Encourage it to follow you and relieve itself.
A cat urinating everywhere is usually a symptom of that something is wrong. If this problem has only recently started for no reason then you should definately consult your vet.
