As a dog lover, you want to know everything about your loyal companion - including its breed history. Gaining insights into their behaviour and personality can be an important influence on how you interact, train and care for your pet. It can also give you information on potential health issues. In fetching the inside word, BITSA can offer valuable insights that can only strengthen the bond with your dog.
What is BITSA?
BITSA (Breed Identification Through Scientific Analysis) is a breed identification test that uses enhanced DNA analysis. Safe and non-invasive, it involves a simple cheek swab of your dog's saliva. You simply post the sample back to the lab and your BITSA results will be sent back to you.
What information will I get?
Your dog's BITSA results will be presented to you in a detailed Dog Breed Specificity Report, covering all of the key features that make up your dog's breed. This includes:
A listing of the breeds detected, broken down into primary (parent), secondary (grandparent) and distant (great grandparent). Please note: depending on your dog's history, some generations may not be available.
A comprehensive analysis of each breed, highlighting: the breed's history, behavioural traits, physical characteristics, general health issues, and suitable games to play
An official test results Certificate, plus a BITSA doggy passport (photo optional)
